General FTP Settings

Different FTP client programs will have slightly different terminology, but in general the following settings should help you to easily establish an FTP connection:
Server or Host Name: yourdomain.com, or your IP address.
Remote Directory: /html/
Local Directory: Location of files on your computer.
User Name: Your account user name.
Password: Your account password.
Port: 21, or default usually OK.
Passive Mode: "Yes" or checked (usually in advanced options).
